Meet the Team

Dr. Ido Friedman, DPM
Dr. Ido Friedman was born in Petach Tikva, Israel, and has a brother and sister who both reside in Israel. After high school, he joined the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where he initially trained in intelligence and was later selected to serve in the Israeli Navy. During his naval service, he rose to the position of Deputy Commander of the training course for new unit members and concluded his service as a First Sergeant. Dr. Friedman also served three additional years in the reserves, including participation in the 1990 Gulf War.

Dr. Friedman began his higher education at Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel, before transferring to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Pre-Medicine. While at Georgia Southern, he was a member of the Political Science Honor Society. He went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine) in Philadelphia.
Dr. Friedman completed a podiatric medical residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. He further advanced his training with a year of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the American Foot & Leg Specialists in the Atlanta metropolitan area, followed by a one-year Podiatric Surgical residency at Covenant Surgery Center and affiliated hospitals and clinics in Lubbock, Texas.
Since 2002, Dr. Friedman has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery in Georgia and South Carolina, serving communities in Savannah, coastal Carolina, and the Atlanta metropolitan area. He is Board Certified, a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and an active member of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Friedman enjoys swimming, exercising, traveling, watching movies with friends, and playing the clarinet, having performed with several wind bands over the years. He is also actively involved in several local organizations. Dr. Friedman is happily married to his wife, Yaffa (Kim), and together they have four sons.
